MaqPro Fard Creme Palette (Le Maquillage Professional) in Asian Skin 1 Palette and mini palettes.

MaqPro Fard Creme Palette (Le Maquillage Professional) in Asian Skin 1 Palette and mini palettes.

It has been awhile since the last time I posted on my blog. Life got in the way but that is no excuse.  Today I will be sharing with you my new favorite foundation, MAQPRO Fard creme.

There are not many reviews out there about the Maqpro cosmetics since it is originally from France but I'm still surprised because they are amazing!  I have used many types of water based foundation which tends to settle on my lines and I don't even have any wrinkles yet!  This foundation is wax based which is great for my dry skin type.  I'm not really sure for oily skin but after reading some other reviews it seems to work great for them as well.

Recently, this black friday Camera Ready Cosmetics was having a sale when I stumbled on this product. I immediately purchased these from them.

The first palette is the 6 colour Fard Creme in Asian Skin 1.
(from top left: 141, 52, 1989)
(from bottom left:127, 97, TL.2)

At first I was really bummed that the Asian Skin 2 was sold out since they are the only reviews I have read out there.  Am I glad I purchased the Asian Skin 1 since I can actually use every single one in the palette.
I mixed the TL2 and 1989 all over my face and sometimes I add the 97 to give a little bit more warmth to my skin.  I use the 52 as a highlighter which is great because it's not too white, it has a bit of a yellow tone to it. For contouring I used the 128 which is fantastic because I don't really need to blend it out too much and doesn't look dirty on the skin.  Then I use 141 for my cheeks for a subtle glow.
(141, 52, 1989, 127, 97, TL.2)
For the price, I say it is definitely worth getting if you are looking for a great foundation with a dewy, fresh look that will stay on your face for hours.  For oily skin you might need to set it with powder. The palette is huge as well.

Next is the Mini Palette Fard Creme in PP.01
(170, TL.2, 111, 52, 41)
(124,131,91, CI, 101)

Don't get discouraged with how small it looks because the wells are deep and a little goes a long way.  The palette is the size of my palm.  I used the CI and the 131 here more than any of them.  For a medium skin tone you can use the 131 to brighten up under your eyes.

And last, the Mini Palette Fard Creme in PP-AI1.

(152, 151, 2216, 19, 157)
(9, 15, CR, 14, 117)

I love this palette! You can use it for anything on your face. I use C.R (light green), 15 (lavender), and 14 (light peach) as a color corrector. I use 9 (gold) as my eyeshadows, 117 (dark brown) for contouring, 151 and 152 as my blushers, 157 (red) and 19 (dark maroon) for my lips.  You can mixed and match all the colors to get a certain look that you want.
(152, 151, 2216, 19, 157, 9, 15, CR, 14, 117)

FYI, all these palettes are not your typical makeup.  They are for immediate and professional makeup artist.  I am neither of those but I figured it out and so will you! The results are amazing.  I'm still experimenting different colors with them.

Thank you for stopping by and don't be shy to leave a comment!!

Maybelline Mascara Comparison: The Rocket and Mega Plush

Hi everyone!!

If you read my recent review I did some swatches on the Maybelline Vivids Lipcolor. When I was looking at the Maybelline aisle I noticed some new mascaras with attractive packaging claiming it will "VOLUM EXPRESS" your lashes.  Of course for a girl like me that was born with straight, thin lashes I went ahead and grabbed two different kinds to try out, The Rocket and The Mega Plush.

I was going to read some reviews about them to see what other people thought about it but I want to give my personal opinion first since everyone is different.

The first one is the Maybelline Mega Plush.  The first thing I liked about this mascara is the packaging.  The color just called me out and said "grab me!".  I couldn't wait to try it out so when I got in the car I immediately opened it.

When I applied it to my lashes the wand seems a bit flimsy, I guess that is what they were going for.
I loved the way this mascara separated and flared my lashes, but I had to apply more mascara than usually because like I stated the wand is too flexible to give that straight precision finish.
(with Maybelline Mega Plush)
                    Pros: I like the packaging.
The way it separates and flares out my lashes.
Cons: The wand is too flexible.

On to the next mascara, The Rocket!  Starting with the packaging, the color didn't attracted me as much as the Mega Plush, but it has pink writing on it so I guess I'll let it go =).

On this packaging the wand wasn't inside the mascara tube.  Normally they would just show pictures of the wand to show how it looks like but this one was standing proud next to the tube.

The application for this mascara was flawless. The wand was stiff and easy to maneuver, the thing I didn't like about the wand is when it hits your inner rim it hurts a bit.  But pain is beauty, all I care about is the outcome which I was not that impressed.  It can get a bit clumpy even when I combed it out but it did looked thick!
(with Maybelline The Rocket)

Pros: Easy application.
         Thick consistency.
Cons: The wand tends to hurt my inner rim.
It gets clumpy if applied too much.

Below is the comparison of both mascara so you can see the difference.
(Mega Plush)                                      (The Rocket)

You tell me which one you like better?

I don't really like to wear false eyelashes because it can get costly and time consuming. So I try to pick a mascara that can do the trick. Usually I will use two different mascara with different types of wand to achieve the look that I want. So I did it with these two mascara.

See the difference?  "Maybe she's born with it..Maybe it's Maybelline."

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipcolor haul!-review and swatches

Hi everyone, since last week I've been on a lipstick haul from Target and Walmart just looking for some drugstore products that I can add on my lip collection.  I want to show you the lipsticks I got from Maybelline Color Sensational which are the Vivid colors.  Since I've seen them I have been researching about the product and it seems like most people are raving about it so I just had to get my hands on them.

When I took pictures of them on my lips some of them look similar, I guess the lighting in my room weren't that great but hopefully you can see the difference. In person they are vibrant and true to the colors seen in the tubes.

Some people claim that they leave a tint on your lips once the color has faded but for me it's not really a problem its actually a good thing so I don't have to keep re-applying the lipstick.  I find that these do not dry out my lips as much as my M.A.C lipsticks.  I usually apply a thin coat of lip balm before applying any color on my lips.

Pink Pop

Shocking Coral (my favorite)

Neon Red (looks a little similar to Electric Orange)

Fuchsia Flash

Hot Plum

Electric Orange (my second favorite)
Have you tried any of them? Let me know what you think.
